Concerns and Treatment

Taking the first step in your mental health journey can feel overwhelming. There is a lot of information about therapists, approaches, and types of treatment in the psychotherapy field. It is completely normal to feel overwhelmed and know that you are not alone in this feeling.

No matter your past experience, or what you are struggling with currently, our team is here to help slow down the process to ensure all your questions are answered at every step of the way. It is important to us to approach therapy with the perspective that no individual, couple or family is the same. Each have their own histories, experiences and dynamics that deserve the time and space to feel heard and understood. By taking this time to get to know you, we ensure personalized care and support that fosters long-term change.

How the Treatment Process Works

Our therapists take the time to understand and collaborate with you to create treatment plans and mental health goals. Your initial session will focus on learning who you are- your history, experiences and what brings you to therapy present day. From there, your therapist will guide you with a personalized treatment plan that targets your concerns and ensures you find benefit in your sessions.

Your treatment plan can grow and change as you do, which is why one of our core values is to meet you where you are. We keep our approach and process flexible and continuously check in and assess or readjust as needed. This ensures that treatment remains effective and is aligned with your evolving needs.

Therapy is here for you when you need it. It is normal to take some time off of therapy to process and digest the information. Part of treatment planning is factoring in your daily life and responsibilities to see where we can fit in. Sessions might take place weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or as-needed.

Our door is always open whether you would like to book a consultation, a session, or if you just have questions or need some resources. Our practice will always work with you to make sure that therapy remains accessible, which is why we offer sliding scale rates available to those who need it.
